In this assignment we were tasked with exploring different levels of abstraction and formality within illustration. We were told to select an object that is easily re-created and were pushed to experiment with it.

For my project I decided to work with my Canon R7, a beloved item of mine. I played around with different spot illustrations of it exploring different perspectives and levels of abstraction. I was aiming to create a cohesive set of camera images while still maintaining individuality.

After going through many rounds of sketches I moved into Photoshop and Illustrator to create a Low-Abstract, Mid-Abstract, High-Abstract, Low Formal, Mid Formal, and High Formal illustration. This project was very useful in testing my and at different mediums. Whether it was painting in Photoshop or using micron pens to draw by hand, I found as if each illustration turned out great!
