Completed in Typography 1, this assignment was given to us with a set of text and rules to follow while creating an enticing brochure for prospective Cal Poly Graphic Design Students. We worked with creating not only a 4-way split brochure but also a digital poster that complimented it.

In this project I began with sketching out layouts for the framework of the 4 way split brochure. I tested out different treatments of type and images to create a harmonious image. By sketching out my initial ideas I was able to work this project into the digital realm with ease. I experimented with different colors to reflect Cal Poly’s personality as well as artwork created by past students.

This project was extremely helpful in learning more about type hierarchy, poster framework, and understanding of visual communication. I aimed for this poster to be as digestible as possible while still holding all the information required for it.
